This treasure box is made of poplar wood, cherry wood, and a thin sheet of copper. The poplar wood was rabbited and cut on a table saw. The cherry wood base was cut on a band saw. It was placed inside the box sides and glued together with tape holding the pieces tight around it. The pattern in the lid was cut on a scroll saw. The lid sides were cut like the box sides on the table saw. Tape was used to hold the sides around the lid top as the glue dried. Finally the piece of copper was cut using tin snips and was fastened in place.
